The Kurlewin download file is password protected. Kurlewin is copyright protected. If you have not purchased Kurlewin, do not download the file! You may load Kurlewin on one computer and make one archive copy for your own personal use. Providing the password to others or copying the file for others violates international copyright laws. Please support software authors - Observe copyrights!
Kurlewin Download & Installation
Follow these steps to download and install the latest version of the fully functional Kurlewin program.
1. If you have Kurlewin demo or a previous version of Kurlewin installed, un-install that copy now. Also delete all files in the the folder where you placed files for the demo or a previous version of Kurlewin.
2. Create a folder on your computer in which to save the downloaded file. For example, create the folder C:\KurlewinInstall.
3. Click on the download link above and download the file into the folder you created in step 2. (The file is named KurlewinZ.exe. The 'Z' stands for self extracting zip file - a file set created by WinZip.) You may need to download a free copy of WinZip from http://winzip.com to extract the file.
4. Double click (run) the downloaded file and follow the instructions to change the location to which the files will be extracted - i.e. extract to C:\KurlewinInstall. (Hint: it may be easier to use the 'browse' button to locate the folder.)
5. Click the [Unzip] button. You will be asked for a PASSWORD.
Enter the password yi4rv2 (be sure your caps lock key is off)
Several
files will be extracted. If you have problems, contact Kurlewin.
6. Double click the readme.txt file (extracted in the above steps) for any late news about Kurlewin or the installation instructions .
7. Find the file 'setup.exe' in the folder where you placed the extracted files. Double click the 'setup.exe' file and follow the instructions for installing Kurlewin. Kurlewin will be installed in your default programs location (usually C:\programs\Kurlewin\...) unless you change the location.
8. Run Kurlewin from the [Start] [Program] [Kurlewin] menu.
9. Select the [Help] [Contents] menu in the Kurlewin title bar to learn about the operation of Kurlewin.
10. You may want to make one copy of the installation file set (to CD or to different hard drive) for your personal archives. Keep the password in a secure place. The password to the Buyers Users page and subsequent download files may change. The password on the file you download now will not change.
Note: The Examples.kur file in the folder where you placed the installation files contains several typical 1000 series objects. Open the file using Kurlewin if you are interested.
